If you’ve been directed to attend A.A. by a court, employer, or school, you’re not the first—and you’re always welcome here. Many of us started our journey this way. A.A. is a fellowship focused on sharing experience, strength, and hope to help one another recover from alcoholism, no matter how you found your way in. If you have questions about meetings, court cards, or what to expect, just ask—there’s always someone here to help. Remember, only you can decide if A.A. is right for you.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our contributions.
A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
