Central Service Representative (CSR)
A Central Service Representative (CSR) is the connection between an AA group and the All South Bay Central Office (ASBCO). CSRs help keep groups informed about Central Office operations, local AA events, Twelfth‑Step opportunities, and ways groups can participate in our shared service work. By attending the monthly Intergroup meeting, CSRs bring their group’s experience, questions, and concerns — and carry accurate information back to their home group.
This simple service role helps strengthen unity and communication across the South Bay AA community.
How to Become a CSR for Your Group
Each AA group chooses its own CSR through a group conscience. The process is straightforward:
- Any member with a desire to serve may stand for the position
- The group holds a vote or reaches an informed group conscience
- The CSR attends the monthly Intergroup meeting on behalf of the group
- The CSR brings information back to the group and carries group feedback to Intergroup
Most groups elect a CSR for a one‑year term, but each group decides what works best for them.
